Description:
The Original combat shotgun in fine mechanical condition!

Griffin & Tow, a partnerhsip between Joseph Griffin and John Tow, wasw active at New Bond Street in London from 1772 to 1782 and was a contractor to the East Indiana Company. Blunderbusses like this were popular defensive weapons, particularly for guarding coaches from highwaymen in 18th and early 19th centuries in England. They provided significant firepower, a better chance of hitting your adversary, and could be loaded more easily due to the flared muzzle. They were very useful at short range and for also defending ships, homes, and businesses and were aslo used on horseback. The flared, smoothbore barrel made them easier to load, especially on the move.

As you're considering this gun, remember the advice of a late gun collecting friend of mine, “you only ever regret the guns you didn’t buy,” “where are you going to find another one,” and “you can make more money tomorrow.” Please also remember, whatever you’re thinking of offering me, “I’ve got more than that in it!”
