Description:
Purchased new in March 2022 and sent to JRH advanced Gunsmithing for a new, 5 1/2 inch barrel, interchangable front sight blades and custom cylinder. I did not specify, nor did I get cylinder blocking or aftermarket bolt/hand. My specification to Jack was that I wanted the most accurate cast bullet revolver capable of Buffalo Bore loads. Rear sight replaced with Bowen Classic Arms model. Cylinder was then sent to Doug Phillips for precision honing to .4525 for lead-free shooting of appropriately sized cast bullets. Amazingly accurate out of my Ransom rest. Front sight inserts can be purchased from Freedom Arms.
I put 150-200 rounds of light (250 gr 850-900 f/s) loads through this gun and quickly got tired of its weight on my belt. This is for a chest rig or hand carrying or just range use. It is a beast for a belt holster. I flattened the grip thickness slightly and touched up with urethane. That was the only thing not done by a professional. Jack at JRH does not create receipts (I tried) but the image that shows the serial together with the previously mentioned date can be used to confirm with JRH. He is a master of the big bore (as you know if you've read this far). Please use the photos for evaluating condition; it is as one would expect of a few trips to the range and back and experimenting with holster designs.
