1897 Mfg. Smith & Wesson .32 Double Action, Fourth Model. Wearing a six inch solid ribbed barrel, factory Nickel finish, Mother of Pearl grips and factory engraved by Gustave Young and Sons shop.Gun has a Smith & Wesson Roy Jinks letter dated Dec.30, 1998. The story from the now passed collector to me ,was the revolver was owned by a Madam brothel operator in Coffeyville Kansas. No letter has been located in collectors estate that documents this, his story. Gun is in excellent condition for a 126 year old antique. 95% or better original Nickel finish remains with no areas of flaking, some minor wear on barrel. Grips of Mother of Pearl are excellent with good luster. Action is tight and operates as intended. Ejectors also work well.
