Winchester Model 1894 rifle in caliber 32-40 in the standard configuration of 26" octagon barrel, full magazine, plain trigger, plain walnut stocks, rifle butt with crescent steel butt plate, open sights, blued and case hardened finish.
Receiver has drifted to a light patina with some original blue in the protected areas of the lower tang. Hammer and lever show traces of original case colors and are otherwise a medium patina, as is the fore end cap. Butt plate has silvered out. Barrel retains 40% original coverage that is a medium patina with some better blue around the front and rear sights. Mag tube about 75% original coverage with brighter blue forward of the mag tube band. There is very slight play in the mag tube band. Front sight is Marble No. 3 with ivory bead and the rear sight is a Marbles Gladstone Full California Buckhorn. Action functions properly, as does the half cock safety. Bore is an 8 of 10 with well-defined rifling and just light roughness, should shoot fine. Stocks exhibit typical dings, wear at butt stock toe (shy of butt plate), and a small chip on the left side of the fore arm in front of the receiver, otherwise no abuse, no extra holes, still tight. Grades Very Good overall and will make a nice addition to your collection.
