Remington Model 40-X .22-250. Serial 35082B has a 28-inch stainless steel heavy barrel (tapers to .885-inch muzzle diameter, drilled/tapped for front sight assembly and mid-barrel base). Features include a single shot action, numbered bolt body, tuned trigger, accessory channel and a White Line recoil pad. History, round count and twist rate are unknown. No box or papers. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 11.4 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.6 inches over the pad. CONDITION: The bore is strong and bright. Barrel finish is approximately 90 percent with light rubbing and indications of handling. Action finish is also approximately 90 percent with a few light freckles and hints of plum. Wood is approximately 95 percent with light indications of handling. Trigger pull is crisp. The price is firm and layaway is available. $1,750 plus shipping.
