PRICE DROP $1500 Izhmash Saiga 7.62 (non-converted) IZ132
The Russian Saiga (antelope) is an imported semi-auto rifle built on the AK-47 platform
but modified to present as a hunting style rifle. They come with a black polymer stock
and fore-end with the trigger group moved back to accommadate the hunting style
buttstock. This modification requires the removal of the pistol grip. This was done to get
around the ban on AK47s. A lot of the Saigas have since been converted to AKMs once
in the USA. It has a 16" chrome-lined barrel and is chambered in 762x39 and has a left
side optic mount. I was planning on keeping this rifle because I have one of the little
brothers, the Saiga 223 (converted). So I replaced the black polymer furniture (cannot
find) with a beautiful wood set, modified the magazine latch so it would take regular AK
mags and I bought a bullet guide kit (required) which I have not installed, hence this rifle
has never been fired. I also have a black polymer buttstock that, when attached, gives
the rifle a pistol grip without having to convert it. The original white box was in bad shape
and there was no paperwork just a note of where to download the owners guide. I have
replaced the damaged box with one from a WASR-9 and am including six new steel 30
round mags. Factory new except for stock and forend upgrades.
