Russia's Molot-Oruzhie, OOO (a.k.a. Obshchestvo S Ogranichennoi Otvetstvennostyu)
is a world leading manufacturer of sport and hunting firearms. With over 80 years of
service Molot has continuously produced superior firearms, using only top components,
with time honored designs. They created the VEPR (Wild Boar) line of civilian sporting
rifles based on the heavy RPK receivers and are offered in a variety of popular calibers
and shotgun gauges. Enhanced against weather and mechanical wear and with accuracy
a key goal, the cartridge chamber, barrel bore, gas cylinder and bolt- support rod are
chrome lined and constructed with a 50% heavier stamped receiver and a heavy duty,
hammer forged target barrel, similar to that of the Russian Tiger Dragunov. It has a fully
adjustable RPK rear site and being sold as a hunting rifle, the Vepr comes with two
magazines of only 5 and 10 rounds. I have added another 10 round mag that came with
the Saiga I am selling and four 30 round aftermarket mags from SGM. Seven mags total.
These rifles were imported into the United States under the Molot VEPR brand name
exclusively by FIME Group since 2015. In 2017, Molot-Oruzhiye OOO was added to
the list of companies under import sanctions by the US Department of Treasury. This
meant that all further imports were banned and we are limited to the stock on hand at
a few lucky retailers. In talking to a Fime customer service representative I learned that
less than 400 (VEPR-76239-03) were ever brought into the states. Due to the exceptional
quality and rarity of these firearms, the Molot VEPR has quickly become a coveted addition
to any firearm collection. This rifle is NIB, has never been fired and in perfect condition.
