Description:
Beautiful Collins & Co. Model 1840 Musician Sword and Scabbard.  In his book "Civil War Army Swords", John H. Thillmann reports that the Collins made musician sword is very scarce and seldom seen.  In fact, when making his book, he was not able to come up with an example to put a photo in the book.  This example is in almost mint condition.  It comes with a very solid original scabbard that still retains the red felt "washer" within the throat.  The scabbard is complete in one piece but has a crack where the leather meets the drag, and some glue has been inserted on one side of the crack to stabilize it.  Please take a look at all the photos as they provide the best description.  Shipping to the lower 48 contiguous states.  Shipping cost $35.00.
