Keith Stegall Custom Sako L61R, .280 RCBS, 24" contoured medium weight sporter barrel stamped "K. Stegall" and caliber, recessed crown, 8 lbs. 10 oz. (with mounted scope), Sako L46R action, two-position safety, bolt knob with band of checkering, action dovetail mounts with mounted Redfield 6x scope, nicely figured European walnut stock, shadowline cheekpiece, checkered steel grip cap, checkered Neidner steel butt plate, swivel studs, 14" LOP. Excellent condition rifle showing only minor handling marks, checkering sharp, natural knot in right butt stock has opened a bit and could stand to be filled again. Made in 1966. Comes with letters from Stegall to original owner about the rifle and dies. This wildcat cartridge is very similar to the later Ackley Improved. My understanding is factory .280 Rem. can be form fired in the RCBS Improved.
