MARLIN 1893 OCTAGON RIFLE IN HARD TO FIND .32-40 CALIBER, #347XXX, MADE 1906. Nice honest example with fine lightly aged deep blue on the barrel showing some minor surface freckling that a good oiling would probably remove. Mag tube mixing gray and brown. Original buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact, Original Rocky Mountain blade front sight. Sharp barrel markings including the "Special Smokeless Steel" stamping. Receiver case colors have aged to an uncleaned dark patina with perhaps a small trace of color in the most protected areas. Fine stock and forend showing only normal light handling. Fine+ bore is only a little dark with sharp rifling all the way through and at worst a small surface spot or two toward the middle of the bore- very minor. Tight action, strong hammer spring with solid half-cock safety on the hammer.
