Description:
This is an 1875 Remington Army .44 Caliber single-action center fire 6 shot with round barrel of 7.5 inches. Serial number was 890 located on the frame underneith the left wooden grip. It was not factory engraved and does not have factory marking or paten date shown.
Special feature: A ring attached to the butt of the revolver (possibly calvary used with a lanyard).
Cylinder: The cylinder is half-fluted with rectangular slots.
This gun is an amazing piece of history! The overall condition appears very good and fully-functional. However, with hard use the cylinder is no longer SAFE. Substituing a different cylinder would permit safe use of this weapon!
