Payment Types Accepted: certified funds Description: ".22 cal long" barrel with excellent shinny bore--22 short and 22 long can also be used but 22 long rifle are too long. The barrel is matching serial number to the action of the rifle. The shotgun barrel, also a great bore, is within a few digets of the action as well--I have to believe they have been together from the begining. The front sight on the rifle barrel is a post or a pop up hooded fine pin. The rear tang sight has a "Pope" like, I believe, rotatable disc (Pat Date May 17, 1887) with 6 different size apertures. Like all the Maynards I have had has a great trigger. The profile of the gun is the same as the Model 2 Civil war carbine. The shotgun barrel when installed is the handiest handling quail gun I've ever used. With number 6 lead shot I can bat clean up skeet shooting with the kids. I use 20 gauge brass shells, easily available, with 60-75 gr FFF BP, two felt wads standard weight shot and one half a felt wad as an over shot card. I have a box of 24 or 25 that I reuse. I am a shooter and I shoot all my guns, but we all know I can not warrantee them to anyone else.
