Description:
Probably the nicest Pre War Browning (by FN) Model Auto 5 16 ga shotgun we have encountered in many years. Excellent overall condition including the bore and 2&9/16 inch chamber. Serial Number range 12763x makes it prior to 1939. Safety forward on trigger guard. Stock and forend are excellent with most all the original finish and including the original FN/Browning butt plate. All screws untouched and probably 98% original blue on all metal parts. Front bead is missing but that should be an easy fix. Original 27.5 inch plain barrel has the front bead base - just the bead is missing (see photo). A darn nice pre war Browning Auto 5 16 Ga gun in a condition that is seldom seen these days. A real time capsule to say the least!
