Colt Official Police .22 Wood/Blued
The Colt Official Police is a medium frame, double-action revolver with a six-round cylinder, manufactured by the Colt's Manufacturing Company. Released in 1908 as the Colt Army Special, the revolver was remamed the "Colt Official Police" in 1927 in order to better market to law inforcement agencies. It became one of the bestselling police firearms of all time, eventually coming to exemplify typical law enforcement officer weaponry in the 1950s. Offered for sale is a 1930s model official Police chambered for the much sought after .22 cartridge. This Official Police was bought at a local gun and does not ratchet. It comes with the original box and spare parts. Seems someone bought parts to fix it but never got around to it. I am no gun smith, so my loss is your gain. Selling as is with no return.
