Description:
28 inch rapid taper round barrel chambered in 30 US caliber. Original sights. Bright shiny bore with sharp rifling. Wood is in very good condition showing lots of extra figure with sharp checkering and a few light handling mars. Hard rubber buttplate is in good condition. Metal is in overall nice condition with a good amount of blue remaining. Most all of the thinning barrel blue remains as well most bright shiny receiver blue. Some light scratches on the left side. Good traces of case color remaining on the lever. Tapped on the side for a Lyman 21 receiver sight. Very scarce gun with only 5,000 Flatside Model 1895 rifles made and only a small fraction of those were deluxe.
