Here we present an antique London Marked Boxlock Flintlock Self-Defense Pistol, made circa the early 1800s in London, England. This little self-defense pistol would have been most at home in the pocket of anyone in the busy cities of London, Paris and Liege during the very early 1800s. This pistol is small, light and simple.
The overall condition is good. Weathered gray patina. London proofed. The action is excellent. The bore is dim and gray; smooth bore. The grip has some obvious repairs yet adheres well to the frame. The delicate wire inlay remains intact and is a nice touch on such a piece. The barrel still turns easily on and off as it should.
