Description:
this is a very hard to find Ruger Safari Magnum Mark ll in 416 Rigby caliber, new in the original box.
The RSM Mark ll is the most expensive bolt action rifle that Ruger has ever produced. and was only in production for approx one year.
the stock is made of beautiful highly grained Circassian Walnut with an ebony forend,  which is not only beautiful but a strong dense wood which one needs on a caliber like the 416 Rigby.
The barrel and action are highly blued , you know like you don't see anymore. the barrel is 23" long and a number 4 contour with fixed sights and two fold down leafs for long range. The bolt and extractor are very similar to the pre 64 Winchester with the claw extractor, a must for Africa.
The 416 Rigby is the most desired caliber for Africa and there is a reason for that. The big Rigby has proven itself for over 75 years in Africa, most PI's carry one.
yes I bought the gun new back in the day and have not fired it, the box is still in good shape.. Very collectible
