"Serial number 7868. Made in 1879. 44-40 caliber with a 4" barrel. Very nice example of a sheriff’s model. The sheriff’s model does not have the ejector rod housing. Finish is excellent with 90% of the original nickel. Grips are excellent. Action works perfect. Bore is dark with strong rifling. Very fine example of a Colt 1878 DA Sheriff’s Model!
