NSN. made in 1864, converted 1865-1867, .58 caliber, 39"" round barrel. Metal is a dull grey patina with smooth pin-prick oxidation noted throughout. Lock plate is marked with ""EAGLE/ U.S./ PARKERS' SNOW & CO./MERIDEN.CONN"". Stock has expected usage and handling marks with no cracks noted. Bore shows strong rifling with some pitting and frosting visible. Action functions correctly.
