Description:
Developed in 1943, the famous M3 Trench Knife was intended to be used by any U.S. Soldier during World War II who was not equipped with a bayonet. H. Boker & Co. was among the nine manufacturers that produced the M3 Trench Knife during the war and delivered an order volume of 31,300 knives. The sister company of the Boker Manufactory in Solingen was located in New Jersey at the time. This M3 is in very good+ condition with a double edge sharpened blade with some signs of wear and slight oxidation near the guard. The bent guard is marked Boker U.S. M3 and has light scattered oxidation. The leather handle is an 8 ring configuration and is in fine, tight and stable condition. The end cap is secure and ordnance marked. The original M8 scabbard was produced by B.M.Co in good to very good condition with age soiling on the canvas hanger.
