Description:
This is a full, 20 round, box of .38-55 ammunition manufactured by Winchester with 55 grain grooved bullets. The early first type, two piece, black powder box, has the pre-model 1894 call out with Winchester Single Shot, Ballard and Marlin rifle designations. The primary blue label is excellent condition with crisp graphics showing only minor scuffs. The box is solid with very slight edge wear, mild age soiling and stain on the side label. The cartridges are all in excellent condition with some age darkening on some of the heads. An excellent, early black powder 38-55 box.
