Description:
ENEDINO DE LEON - FOLDING HUNTER KNIFE - FOUR INCH BLADE - LAST FOLDING KNIFE MADE BY DE LEON!:

This offers for sale a “FOLDING HUNTER“ KNIFE with four inch blade and scales of Cocoa Bolo wood, completed by Enedino De Leon for the seller, just weeks before he became incapacitated and passed away in 2014.  Therefore, this was the last “Folding Hunter” knife made by the famous knife maker.

Both De Leon and Ralph Bone, who taught De Leon the knife-making trade, priced their "Folding Hunter" knives comparable to the prices at which they offered their Bowie knives and their other premium knives, due to the intrcacies of the folding knife-making process and the quality that they built into their Folding Hunters.

Enedino did not enjoy making folding knives as much as he enjoyed making straight knives.  Consequently, he made very few of them.  Yet, his catalog listed Folding Hunter knives with two inch, four inch and six inch blades.
(A two inch blade De Leon “Folding Hunter”, also, is offered by Seller, simultaneously, here, on Ebay.)

Seller wrote about the subject “Folding Hunter” knife in his  book, “The Artistry Of Ralph P Bone”, without photos, because after Enedino made the knife for the seller, the knife was not located, for quite some time by his family, after Enedino passed away, and, even, after the seller’s book was published.

However, years later, the subject knife surfaced among Enedino’s possessions, still in new condition, and Enedino’s brother, very kindly, sent the knife to the seller.  The knife remains in new - unused - unsharpened condition and, as mentioned above, it is the last “Folding Hunter” made by Enedino De Leon, just  before he became incapacitated and died.

Now at age 85, Seller is liquidating his small collection of Ralph Bone and Enedino De Leon custom-made knives.
