Description:
For sale is a Winchester 1885 Low Wall Winder musket chambered in .22 Long Rifle. The 28' round barrel appears to be a Type 2 Long Rifle barrel with a bright bore and strong rifling. The barrel finish is good with a noticable ding near the barrel address.(pictured) The front sight is later model Lyman gold bead but is sighted to the rear Lyman bridge sight with adjustable elevation and windage. The receiver finish and lower tang have turned brown along with the buttplate which shows some light pitting. The coil spring action locks up tight and functions as designed. The stocks show some dings and bruises but no cracks or splits except for a small missing chip on the upper left wrist at the receiver (pictured). This is a good shooter and seems to not be picky about what ammo you choose to shoot. Ensure your FFL will accept a transfer from a private individual. If a FFL shipper is required add $25 to the sale price. Shipping is via USPS ground insured and tracked for $65. Shipping to Alaska may require additional charges. No sales to Hawaii or any other locale that would prohibit purchase of the gun.
