Description:
Guns Listing ID: 770556

This Lamson & Ball Carbine is in excellent condition, especially given that it is almost 160 years old!

The Lamson & Ball Carbine is produced as one of approximately 1000 rifles ordered in 1864 to fill a U.S. military contract for a new repeating carbine.

Unfortunately the contract was only delivered upon in May of 1865, after the Civil War had ended. These were eventually stored by the government and sold off as surplus in 1901 at $0.10 each!

This is chambered in .56-50 Spencer. The original color case hardened receiver and other parts, as well as the bluing on the barrel are in exceptional shape for their age. This is the finest example of a Lamson & Ball Carbine I have seen, either in person or online.

Don‚‚t let this rare piece of U.S. military history slip through your hands
