Its 45-1/2” part-octagonal barrel is in .62 caliber with a full-length stock. This smooth large-bore would have been a necessary tool in the early republic. One could hunt just about anything with it: using ball for medium and large game, and using shot for small game and fowl. Of course, it could be used with ball and a combination of ball with shot, called buck and ball, for fighting purposes. The overall condition is good. Dark, weathered patina throughout. The top of the barrel is signed “Doll”. The action is strong. The percussion nipple is a bit crusty. The stock is smooth and solid with a striped grain. An attractive piece of American history! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 45-1/2 inches. Caliber: .62 Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE.
