This is the exact gun pictured in the December 1993 Gun Report article featuring pinfire pepperboxes. It is also the exact gun pictured in "Systeme Lefaucheux " by Chris Curtis.
This gun is chambered for the very early cartridge with brass base and cadboard body it will not chamber the later pinfire cartridge.
The action operates as it should.
The grips appear to be burl walnut.
