Hartford arms produced two model 1925 pistols .a single shot manually operated .22LR target pistol and a 10 shot automatic target pistol.they only produced a total of approximately 5,000 total pistols approximately 1,500 single shot pistols and approximately 3,500 10 shot automatic pistols. Thier patents and tooling were bought out by what was to become Hi standard arms corporation and in 1932 they brought out wha was to be the first Hi Standard pistols the model "B". The model B was virtually a Hartford model 1925 in fact almost all the parts interchange. A couple of years later Hi standard brought out the model A which was totally a Hi standard designe.the first pistol here is the model 1925 Hartford arms single shot 22 LR. It is ( serial number # 242 ) out of approx 1,000--1,500. It is approx.95 percent blue. It has an excellent shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. It has ribbed wood grips in very nice condition .It operates manually and is in very good checkered mechanical condition. The second is a Hartford arms .22 model 1925 automatic 10 shot .In 85-90 percent blue finish.The.bore is very very good. shiny with sharp lands and grooves.The grips are the original hard rubber grips in excellent condition.This is an opertunitby to own a complete collection of a gun maker. All Hi Standard collections should include include a Hartford arms representitive to be complete!
