Presented here is a retro cool 5 shot Smith & Wesson Model No. 1 1/2 top break single action revolver in .32 SW caliber. Made between 1878 to 1892 a total of 97,574 were produced. Features include top break loading, cases are ejected when the barrel is tipped down and a bird's head grip with hard rubber stocks. Another important characteristic is the rebounding hammer so made for safety when carrying a fully loaded revolver. The major difference in this model and previous versions is the addition of the strain screw in the forestrap of the grip for adjusting tension on the mainspring. This particular example is in very good mechanical condition. The nickel finish has some spots where flecking has occurred. The hard rubber grips are in very good condition being free of cracks or chips. The 3 1/2" barrel has a good bore with good rifling. This cool retro revolver would make a great addition to an existing collection or a strong way to start a new collection of antique firearms.
