Description:
This is a tube fed Springfield/ J. Stevens Arms, 87A, .22 Semi or Single shot rifle. Sometimes called a "Gill Gun" due to the cutouts in the receiver. Barrel is stamped, "Cal .22 Long Rifle Smokeless Greased Only". Functions as a semi unless you lock the bolt, then it can be used as a single shot. Barrel is stamped, CAL 22 LONG RIFLE SMOKELESS GREASED ONLY
Metal shows wear and some "patina" but no deep scratches. Factory front and rear sights plus 2 scope blocks that must have been used with some type of target scope. Bore is perfect. Sling swivels included.
The previous owner had someone, maybe he did it himself, checker the pistol grip area on the stock. Usual handlig marks with light scratches on the wood but no cracks or deep gouges Over all a plinker that was used but not overly abused.
Price is plus shipping/Ins. 3 day non firing inspection period. If your FFL will not accept from a private owner, (I will include a copy of my drivers license), I can get a FFL to ship. He charges only $20.00 plus the actual shipping/Ins. If returned the buyer pays for the shipping/Ins plus any fee my FFL charges to transfer my own gun back to me.
