Parker Reproduction 20 Gauge DHE grade.
Specs: Serial Number P-342. Stock dimensions LOP: 14 5/8”, DAC: 1 3/8”, DAH: 2 1/8”. Barrels: Right Choke: IC. Left Mod. Weight: 6# 8.6oz. Single selective trigger, Ejector.
From the serial number, and the stock dimensions you may have noticed that this is not your standard Parker Reproduction. In fact, this is a very special gun. It is a production Prototype. Hence the (P) in the serial number sequence. P-342. Before Parker Reproductions started their standard production run in circa 1983 /84 they had to standardize the line somewhat. These guns are often referred to as the Long Wood guns. This is because of the longer Wood, (LOP) than standard production run guns. In my opinion this is where the LOP should have been.
Look around at the current Parker Reproductions on offer. You will see LOP at 14”, 14 1/8”, and the standard 14 ¼”. Still in my opinion to short, especially on the straight grip guns! This repro. Is in like new condition. It was unfired until the consignee shot two rounds of 5 stand through it some years ago. Priced to sell at $5,400.00. All offers considered. Three-day inspection period.
