Description:
Birmingham Small Arms Co. LTD., England, Majestic Featherweight Deluxe built circa 1959-1965 on their proprietary controlled round feed double square bridge Mauser action. Barrel is 22" with a muzzle brake, ramp front sight, and island rear sight with one standing and two folding leaves. Bore is excellent. One inch split rings. Bolt shroud safety and trigger bow floorplate release. 13 5/8" LOP over a factory hard buttplate. 6lb 4oz without scope.
Mauser authority Jon Speed in his book 'Mauser Original Oberndorf Sporting Rifles" says that "BSA was the only firm to offer Mauser-type rifles using a new British designed action" ..."the receivers were machined from solid bar stock and featured integral scope bases." This firearm shows very little use and is 97% overall.
