Description:
***SOLD***Winchester Model 57 Target .22LR bolt action rifle, dated to 1932. This rifle features a beautiful smooth walnut stock, with a rich blue finish on the receiver and barrel. The receiver is drilled and tapped for both an aperture sight and a scope mount, and it would appear that the stock cutout was filled by a matching piece of walnut, as shown. The rear sight is a flip-down sight, and the magazine is release via the button set into the stock. The rifle is in truly great condition considering it's age, with most of the original finish on the metal parts, and only small dings in the stock, in addition to the filled portion, mentioned previously. The action is smooth and functional, and the bore looks superb. The 5rd magazine fits snugly, clicks in with ease, and only takes a small wiggle to remove it when the button is pressed.
