The Mossberg 44US is a .22 cal trainer rifle adopted by the military to cut costs of training new recruits. It has a heavy target barrel, post and peep sights, detachable magazine and is in very good condition.There is very little rust showing a little in the bottom of some stampings. The stampings themselves are sharp and clear. The first model 44US was manufactured from 1943-1945. .22 Long Rifle
