Description:
This is a very nice Springfield Model 1922 M1I Training Rifle. This 1922 has been through an arsenal overhual to convert it to M2 specs with the improved M2 bolt with adjustable headspace. This Vintage U.S. Military Training Rifle features a coarse-checkered buttplate with no trapdoor, and Lyman 48 micrometer rear sight. The barrel date is September of 1925. The parkerized finish is about 95% intact on the barreled action. The floor plate and some of the small parts show most of the finish wear. The bore is immaculate with no issues. This rifle has han excellent trigger pull at a very crisp approximately 2lbs. Includes(1) 5-round, M2-marked magazine. There are (4) holes drilled into the receiver on the left side for a previously mounted scope mount, and the the stock has been inlet for the mount as well. This handsome rifle would make an excellent shooter, match gun or base for a custom rifle.
