This is a very hard to find first variant of Beretta 92 pistol, made 1977 and coded AC on the trigger guard. Only about 5000 of these "step slide" pistols were made before a standard non-reinforced slide was introduced. Other early features include a magazine release on the lower grip, and a frame mounted safety. This particular gun retains around 97-98% of its original high polish blue on the slide with minimal holster wear on the front of the slide, and about 98-99% of anodising on the dural lightweight frame. Excellent bore and grips. With an even serial number 05000 this could be the last "step-slide" Beretta made with upgraded factory wood grips indicating a possible presentation gun as well.
Original box with some tape remnants on the lid. I might have a spare magazine as well.
Probably the rarest of the Beretta 92 line and highly collectible.
