Description:
This is a 700 BDL that started life as a .243 Varmint Special. The previous owner decided to have a SS barrel installed. in 6mm-.284
The barrel is stamped 6mm-284 but has no other markings. 26", barrel at the bore measures 1.25, muzzle mics at .822 It has a stepped recessed crown. I tried to check the twist and the best I could come up with is 1-10
It has never been fired!
I've known the previous owner for 45 years and he said the barrel was done at Shaw's in Bridgeville PA. Includeds the Leupold bases and rings pictured. I will also include a set of RCBS dies. .25-.284 Trim, 6mm-284 FL, 6mm-.284 Seating. He always purchased a set of dies when he bought a rifle so he had these but never used them.
