Description:
This Finnish Mosin-Nagant Model M24 bolt action rifle in 7.62 X 54R is in very good condition. One of the earliest Finnish arsenal rebuild programs was done by the Finnish Civil Guard to refurbish worn out Russian M91 Mosin-Nagant rifles into the Finnish Model M24. The assembly work was done at the Civil Guard plant which would later become Sako. The blued barrel and receiver frame are very good. The blued 27" barrel is very good with clear rifling in its bore. The trigger is good with a long take-up and a firm crisp release. The smooth hardwood three-piece stock is very good with some minimal damages. The Finnish M24 is still highly sought after due to its quality rebuild and rarity. The Finns produced between 26 and 27,000 M24 rifles from 1924 to 1926 and were in use until October 1944, when the Civil Guard was disbanded.
