Description:
Savage developed the MSR-15 Recon LPR Semi-Auto Rifle for long-range tactical engagements. The Recon LRP uses a 6.8 SPC bolt carrier group and has an 18" barrel to optimize velocities. The barrel has a heavy contour and a Melonite QPQ finish that is thinner and harder than chrome lining, ultimately reducing friction and prolonging barrel life. The barrel is also fitted with a Savage MSR tunable muzzle brake. The gas block is adjustable to specific ammunition for optimum cycling. The MSR-15 Recon LRP semi-auto rifle features a free-float M-LOK handguard, a Hogue pistol grip, and a Magpul CTR collapsible buttstock. The upper receiver has a full-length Picatinny rail that lines up with the handguard rail, providing ample rail length for mounting tactical sights. The 2-stage trigger allows you to obtain the maximum accuracy potential with the weapon. .224 Valkyrie
