Description:
This Colt New Service revolver is in great condition and appears to have had very few rounds through it. Exterior metal surfaces retain over 90% of original bluing with scattered, light freckling apparent here and there on frame and barrel with most noticeable corrosion in two spots on left side frame plate (one directly on Rampant Colt logo, the other near rear frame plate screw...see photos). Cylinder shows very faint spin ring, and bore is shiny with strong lands and grooves remaining. Cylinder locks tight. Hard rubber grips show virtually no wear with strong Colt logos and checkering. Butt strap has lanyard swivel ring. There is an "F" stamped on the frame under the left side grip panel, an inverted triangle stamped at the front of the trigger guard and a "3" at the rear of the trigger guard on the left side of the frame. Also an "H" (or "A"?) stamped under the serial number (321134) on the frame under the cylinder swing arm. The gun is chambered in .45 Colt, and has a 7.5" barrel. A near perfect example of this great double action revolver, in perfect mechanical working order.
