REMINGTON MODEL 541S "CUSTOM SPORTER" BOLT ACTION RIFLE, 22 s, l or lr caliber, 24" barrel, polished blue finish, checkered walnut stock and forend, scroll engraved receiver and trigger guard, rosewood: pistol grip cap, forend and butt plate;manufactured 1972-1984. Two Magazinesf: one plastic and another custom made metal.
The metal work on this rifle is in excellent condition with no blueing wear. I'd say 99%+. The rosewood (standard synthetic) forend, grip cap, and butt plate are also in great condition. All screws are excellent. The wood has a few handling marks (dings). There is some slight swelling of the buttstock/butt plate interface where the bottom of the stock got wet many years ago. Maybe 1/16" of an inch. I've tried to depict the condition in the attached photos.
Rifle action is smooth, crown perfect, as is the bore and barrel. This is a very accurate rifle. Used for squirrel hunting by myself and my brother.
