Description:
Marlin Model '94 / 1894 Baby Carbine .44-40. Made circa 1906, serial 350328 has a 20-inch barrel (half magazine, blade front sight, flip-up ladder rear sight), 3x drilled/tapped receiver, saddle ring and a straight-grip butt stock with shotgun butt plate. Sling eyes are also in position. A Cape buffalo leather sling and tassle have been added. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 5.6 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.0 inches. CONDITION: The bore is very good with minor instances of roughness. As refinished, bluing over the barrel and receiver is approximately 70 percent. A dovetail (now plugged) has been machined into barrel just forward of the band. Wood is approximately 75 percent. No box or papers. History is undiscovered. The price is firm and layaway is available. $3,000 plus shipping.
