This is an outstanding Civil War Colt 1860 Army Martially Inspected Revolver. This is the more desirable 4 screw frame. This example is of the finest known exhibiting almost all of its color case hardened finish. The barrel shows approximately 95% of its blue finish. The grips show a cartouche on the left flat and remain in excellent condition. The backstrap shows much of its blue finish as also does the cylinder with a near perfect scene. Mechanically functions excellent. It's getting difficult to find these Army revolvers in this high of condition today. Correct polishing lines are visible around the front sight.
