Description:
Serial #3072, .38 S&W, 4 inch barrel with a near excellent bright bore with a few very minor shallow pits. This is early, low serial number, Smith & Wesson Perfected model Double action revolver featuring both topstrap release and a side thumb release with the side plate on the right side of the frame. In excellent plus overall condition the frame, barrel and cylinder retain virtually all, 97-98% of the original bright nickel finish with a slight drag line on the cylinder and some very fine handling and use marks. The hammer and trigger show vibrant case color and the hard rubber S&W grips rate excellent plus with crisp detail and checkering. Mechanically the action locks up tight and times properly. An excellent example of this unique Smith & Wesson revolver that would be hard to improve upon. FFL or C&R
