Standard configuration Beretta M1931 with plum slide, fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight, top mounted loaded indicator, having single line address on left side of slide stipulating the model. Full serial number on right side of slide and frame with the last few digits repeated on the barrel lug. Traditional frame mounted safety with “S” and red dotted “F”. No proofs as typical for Military issue pistols. Fitted with smooth wood grips each panel with a silvered “R/M” bracketing an anchor in a medallion at their base. Unmarked magazine whose body has a single large inspection window. Detachable finger extension base. Synopsis: Wonderful, high original condition, Beretta M1931 as used by the Italian Navy, with production limited to about 8000 pistols. Condition: Near excellent original bright blue finish with the plum slide providing a striking contrast. Comparable condition front and back straps and grips. Excellent original magazine. Bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the best M1931 Navy pistols extent, this example pictured in the J.B. Woods reference book on Beretta pistols, page 57.
