the original 220 is 12 ga and in excellent condition 90 % blue 90 % stock finish no cracks // the extra 16 ga barrel has lots of dull blue // both barrels are 28 inches with fine bores they both lock up tight //The Savage 220 was built from 1938 until 1965. It was offered in 12, 16 and 20 gauge and .410 bore. . Compared to other single shot guns of that time period which still had exposed hammers, the model 220 was a modern design with top lever opening and a tang mounted safety.
