Description:
The Marlin Levermatic was a family of lever action rifles created by Marlin Firearms in the 1950s. The Levermatic differed from the traditional lever-action rifle, such as the Marlin 39A, in that it employed a cam-and-roller system that give it an extremely smooth and short lever motion to reload a new cartridge. This cam-and-roller system was originally invented by Kessler Arms Company for their "Lever-Matic" shotgun. Following Kessler's dissolution, Marlin licensed the idea and began producing rifles using a similar design. This firearm is a model 57-M chambered in .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire with a tube magazine and was manufactured from 1959 to 1969. This Model 5-7M has been used, but is in great condition. There are some minor wear on the gun as pictured. The gun's rifling is crisp and clean. This Marlin is pre-Gun Control Act of 1968 and does not have a serial number. .22 MAG
