Navy Luger Commemorative, 75th year, made by Mauser as a leather cased ensemble in the late 1970s, to include pistol, spare magazine, lots of literature, Luger book by John Walter, and locking keys. This example, without import marks, was coded HI reflecting production in 1978. Standard 6in barrel, marked with caliber, having drift adjustable front sight and two position navy rear sight. Middle toggle link with gold filled “DWM” monogram. Left side of frame with commemorative inscription “75 Jahre/Parabellum-Pistole/Kaiserliche Marine”. Right side of barrel extention and frame marked with serial number. Mauser address on frontstrap. “MADE IN GERMANY” on rear of frame above lanyard loop. Major components salt blued. Most small parts strawed. Grip screws fire blued. Folded magazines with blued bodies and black plastic plugs secured with two pins. Spare magazine, take down tool with Mauser marking, hanging tag imprinted with Mauser name and serial number. Literature includes guarantee card, undated but matching test target and instruction booklet. Correct "Luger" reference book by John Walter. Synopsis: Mauser, Navy Luger Commemorative, P08, German, Complete Ensemble, 9mmP, production limited to 250. Condition: Excellent+ original condition, with sharp edge wear on hump of sideplate and a few areas of fading, largely confined to the matte finished areas on the frame as carefully photographed. Comparable condition straw showing no suggestion of touch up; slight fading of grip screws particularly on the right side where in contact with the case. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Near excellent condition literature. Luger book with dust cover stains and small tear, VG condition text. Case with scattered scuffing. Keyed locks work properly.
