1943 Springfield Armory M1 Garand Correct Grade
This rifle was produced by Springfield Armory in the contract ending in February 1943. The rifle has been field stripped and contains the following parts:
Receiver- Serial Number 1189521
Bolt- D28287-12SA RE6B with X on underside of Bolt
Trigger Housing- D28290-12-SA
Lower Receiver- D28291 17 with S 7 B <> A marked above the drawing number
Barrel- 8-S-A-1-43
Clip ejector- 11
Bayonet Lug- 7 or 2 on the underside
Operating Rod- D35382 6 SA
Safety- C46015-9SA
Trigger Guard- L stamped inside
Hammer- C46008-3-SA
Rear Sight- Early Lock Bar
This rifle was completely restored by Shuff’s Parkerizing in the early 2000’s using the correct manganese parkerizing. Since restoration it was put in the safe and never fired. This is a great opportunity to own a correct grade 1943 M1 Garand with all of the early war features that looks just like it did the day it came out of the factory.
