These short throw levers are known bolt action like accuracy and with the short throw it is possible to get fast follow up shots without taking your eye out of the sight or scope picture. Chambered in modern hard hitting and readily avail .308 (most today do not know that at one time you could buy factory ammo in up to 200 and as i recall 250 gr). we actually have a box of 200's here.
While most levers are tube fed requiring soft nose bullets and tedious loading and unloading 88's are mag (clip) fed. Additonal mags are found on ebay and other sources and make for fast safe loading and unloading while going over fences, up to a tree stand or in and out of truck or atv.
