LONG DISCONTINUED BROWNING MODEL 1885 SINGLE SHOT HIGH WALL .40-65 WITH HEAVY 30" HALF-OCTAGON BARREL, TARGET SIGHTS. These fine rifles are often winners in black powder silhouette matches across the country. Comes with original fully adjustable long range Soule rear tang sight with spirit level globe front sight that will take inserts. Nicely grained fancy walnut stock with cheek rest, checkered steel shotgun butt plate and steel pistol grip cap, sharply checkered pistol grip and forend, beautifully case colored receiver. Weighs just under 12 lbs. This example shows little if any use and appear about new. Most of this model were made in .45-70. These are getting hard to find and don't show up often especially in .40-65 caliber.
